We met through a mutual friend who Lizzie worked with. Adam came to visit him while Lizzie was working one day, and days later we went out on our first date!
Our Engagement Story
It was two days before our 7 year anniversary. Adam had been at work all day, and called after he was done to tell me he was going to go look for a gift for me. A few hours went by, and I was growing anxious. He called after to tell me that he was going to go home and relax for a bit, but little did I know, he was asking my parent's for their permission to marry me! He finally made it over to my house and suggested we go out onto Simonton Lake. I agreed, even though it was a rainy July evening. Little did I know he was planning on proposing in the middle of the lake. I could feel his heart pounding through his chest, and had no clue why. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! All I could get out was, "Are you serious right now?!" I was in complete shock and said YES! It was really special, just us and the ducks out in the pouring down rain. Truly something to remember!
About the Ring
Adam picked the ring out all by himself! It is a single diamond surrounded in a halo-type setting with two accent diamonds on each side of the center setting. There are hearts visible on each side of the setting, which is special, because my promise ring that I had until he proposed had the same hearts on the sides of the setting, as well.
Our First Date
We had our first date at Applebee's in Elkhart. We ended up closing the restaurant down, and continued to talk in the parking lot past midnight.
Our Relationship in Three Words
Fun-loving, quirky, committed.
